At the Florida Road UIP, we believe faith should never be a fault line within a community. It should be something we respect in one another. Something we honour.

Florida Road is home to many cultures, races and religions. That diversity is not something we merely tolerate. It is something we actively celebrate. Our vision is simple: to create a precinct where people of every belief system can stand side by side, participate in shared experiences, and feel completely secure in their own faith. No pressure. No agenda. No conversion. Just community.

Hosted by Penny Appeal & Florida Road Uip, Our annual Iftar is a beautiful example of this in action. It was held on 7th March 2026 at the Gordon Road park. The event was open to

anyone who wished to experience the breaking of the fast in the Muslim tradition. It offers an opportunity to learn, to connect & to share a meal together. The event was attended by community members of all walks of life who shared food laughs and community spirit. In the same spirit, our upcoming Easter celebration welcomes all. Not as a religious obligation, but as a shared moment of joy and neighbourly support.

These gatherings are not about religion competing for space. They are about respect making space for everyone.

Community is built when we choose understanding over assumption. When we celebrate one another’s traditions instead of questioning them. When we look for solutions instead of problems. When we support and stand by each other, regardless of race, religion or status.

Florida Road UIP remains committed to putting community first. Because when neighbours honour one another & stand together, we build more than events. We build trust, belonging & a stronger, more compassionate Florida Road for all.
