This festive season, Florida Road was filled with more than lights and laughter. It was filled with heart. Working alongside the eThekwini Parks Department, we had the privilege of supporting a special day created to bring joy and unforgettable moments to children from the Gorge Hill informal settlement in Sydenham.
Local businesses stepped up in the most generous way. One Florida Road business opened its doors exclusively for the children, welcoming them to a morning of treats, smiles and a truly special experience.
Gordon Road Park was transformed into a lively celebration space, buzzing with jumping castle, art and games. Music set the tone, a hearty lunch was shared, and festive gifts added to the excitement. The children were

kept entertained with face painting, storytelling and a fascinating wildlife experience including a safe, up-close encounter with a snake, guided by professionals.
This day was a shining example of what can happen when municipal partners and private businesses unite with a shared purpose. Florida Road UIP is incredibly proud to have played a role in creating a day of joy, connection and festive magic.
Thank you to all the municipal departments and Florida Road businesses whose generosity and collaboration made this beautiful celebration possible. Also a special thanks to our teams on the ground.
